After cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, especially in case of severe infections, specific medicated pastes can be applied, such as antibiotic paste or calcium hydroxide.
The application of the treatment can last from a few days to a few weeks, in several sessions.
Patients must attend all scheduled appointments because otherwise there is a risk of re-infection of the root canals.
